Attended the (second) Oxbridge meeting in Concord for the Summer Term 2010.
I missed the first one, so I asked Mr Madden and attended the second one.
I'm sitting in the new library and using the new computers for like, the FIRST TIME!!!
Hahaha no need to rub it in. I know I'm sakai. :p
Aiyer laa, listening to the Oxbridge talk makes me feel so stressed la.
Basically the underlying message they had to give was STUDY STUDY STUDY especially outside the textbook!!!!!!
AS is making me feel stressed and easily agitated, Pffttt
I was telling Mrs Hickman about how I'm going to balance all my subjects on time and she was like "You just gotta space yourself out, then"
Nyeh. I need to get started on my, as Carey puts it (very nicely, if I may say so), sea of English essays which I am prepared to drown in!!
Wells, adios. (We were asking Dr Braybrook how many languages he knew in Chemistry class today and he started reciting the "hi's" in more than 7 languages, I should think. :X
Pssttt, his Mandarin vocabulary is wider than mine, but don't tell him that! :P

Monday night
Trying to study Chem.
It's my worst subject :((( (Can you believe that! Someone shoot me now! D:)
Been getting super frustrated with English A Level.
ELLA2 Part A is horrigible!
We have to like, analyse these two pieces of text and compare them.
I suck at it, currently stuck at a B grade for that essay and I have approximately 3.5 weeks to improve myself up to an A grade. OMGGG
I feel like I can't really focus lately.
Which, in other words, translates to I'M IN DEEP SHIT.
AS Exams are just around the corner, and I haven't even started getting serious yet, when everyone else is so serious and studying super hard.
I'm especially worried for my Biology & Chemistry practical.
I think I've kind of resigned myself that I may have to repeat Chem practical in January =_="
I'll try my best on my last evaluation.
At least we could repeat our pracs for Chemistry.
Not like Biology, I think I'm screwed for EMPA.
Mrs Newton-Badman is still in the hospital and frankly, I kinda miss her.
Even though I always sleep in her lessons. Hehe whoops. :x
Aiyerrr, I hope she recovers ASAP.
We have this erm. Substitute teacher, who used to teach in Concord but is currently retired.
Ben & Mr Woods assured me that she was a good GCSE Biology teacher.
But somehow now, I'm err....not feeling particularly assured.
Oh and I've finally had the realization that I finally think of Concord as my new school, rather than Lodge, Lodge, Lodge.
I've been there my whole life ;)
I saw the pictures up on Facebook for Lodge's Sports Day, which probably took place a few hours after our Saturday road race here at CC.
Congrats to Purple House for coming in 2nd...for the 3rd consecutive year in a row.
But hey, it's better than coming in last all the time.
I'm actually a bit sad that I'm in Hammers now, I've always been in Yellow and I honestly would've preferred being in Lie House, but what to do?
I'm in Green House now, gotta deal with it.
Hahah, I've been in Yellow --> Purple and now ---> Green.
What a drastic colour change! :p
Anyway, I should sleep soon, I am damn sleepy now.
Goodnight! Oyasumi nasai! :D

Hulllllooooo
Celebrated Kho Peng & Julie's belated birthday party todayyy at the field behind the basketball court and lower school!
It was fun ^_^
Nat, Bele, Julia, Julie, Jasper, Tessa, me, Stephanie, Jia Hui, Ivy, Ken, Shaun, Andy, Hilda and this lower school guy came and celebrated tooo!
Then we tried doing jump shots, but Ken kept missing our jumps =_=" (was that on purpose?)
And I tried to ride the guys' bicycles, dammit their seats are SO SUPER HIGH and it was sooo painful cos when I put my legs across it, my feet can barely touch the ground and i'm like stretching my calf and thigh muscles to the max!!
Oh, we had the Concord Road Race today!
When I was asked to join, I was told that it was 1km!
Then someone else told me it was 1.5km and then 1.7km!
And I was soooo regretting joining the race when they said that!!!
Because I tried training the night before, I only just about lasted 600m!!!!
So I was super worried and panicked the whole night.
I even dreamed about the race O_O
But I didn't get last, thank goodness.
I got like 21st out of 36 girls.
Okay bah.
Considering I've never run longer than 400m in any athletics competition before ! LOL
Many HAMMERS GIRLS ran!
I'm so proud of them, Kwang and Soo Chin especially!!
Took me just round bout a million years to persuade them to run.
And HAMMERS is in FIRST PLACE (Well, we're tied with U Thant in the road race, but that's not important he he)
I jogged the whole way and stopped only twice to walk for like, less than 50m?>
YAY! (: Maybe I should consider doing long distance lol! :p
Watched "Princess & the Frog" with Huicin, Nat and Tessa! *Hearts*
Hehehe. I should be studying man :'(
I'm sleepy but I don't wanna sleep early cos it's a Saturday night!!
And I ALWAYS stay up on a Saturday night!!!
It's my way of rebelling against my usual Concord bedtime hahahahaha.
Cos the internet offs at 2am too =_=" SADNESS!! ! !

I msn-ed with shu li on ken's ebuddy during lunch!
She's doing as she always is - damn funny! :p
Hermmm....everyone will be back at the end of the week.
And yes, I'm blogging because I'm procrastinating again.
English homework, you know.
I am super lazy for English this term O_O
I need to get my head into the game!
New library and the rest of the J block is open already.
It looks awesome, although I got lost and I'm sure to get lost again when I go in. :XX
Anyway, tomorrow's the last day of the week - Friday THANK GOODNESS.
Then, ermmm....Saturday test and after Saturday tests, ROAD RACE!!
1KM for girls, 2KM for guys.
1KM ah. I wonder if I can complete 1km O_O
Cos my stamina is only worth up tooo...ermm maximum is probably 350m?
So I'll just jog slowly! ;p
Mr Lawrence and Mr Hawkins running too LOL.
Mr Lawrence was like *jaw drop* "You're participating in the race?"
ME : =______=
Mr Lawrence : "Oh well, I'll be ahead of you in the race ! "
ME : =______= WE'LL JUST SEE ABOUT THAT THIS WEEKEND!!!!
anyway, gotta do ELLA1 homework zzzz.

I am so super lazy to do my ELLA2A essay.
It's soooo boring - analysing & comparing two pieces of unknown text.
It's like zzzz and takes me 50 minutes to finish it in the exam =_=
God knows how I passed that part.
Mr Lawrence said "But still, you did damn bloody good"
Oh and I just had the startling revelation that my handwriting is deteriorating.
It looks like horrible squiggles and completely unintelligable, I tell you.
Maybe cos the weather is still pretty cold and when I'm cold, my handwriting goes zhup!
Horrible, horrible, horrible!
Or saying it in Mr Harding style, 'orrible, 'orrible, 'orrible LOL!
Mr Harding is so cute, man! :p
Okay, Clare is making excuses for herself not to study. :(
Oh, London universities sent some representatives to talk about their unis and stuff today.
UCL, Kings, Imperial and LSE.
Minimum requirement to enter my course in Cambridge, Imperial and Kings - A*AA
And for UCL, it's AAA-ABB.
Hmmm.
Not bothered with LSE, I'm not in it for the artsy subjects :/ though they're my strong subjects lol
I'm supposed to enter this duet piano workshop this afternoon but it clashed with the talk and my duet partner is stranded in her hometown (Singapore) soooo....yeah :(
Psshhh. 3 minutes to 4pm.
I better get cracking on my english homework!
(Sometimes I so regret taking English, sighs! TT^TT)
